Just went to Safeway. Ready to shred my lettuce for my tacos. I unpeel the top layer and saw a few gnats. Unpeeled the next layer and saw about 6 more! Decided to stop this unpeeling action and proceeding to place the bug-infested head of lettuce in an airtight ziplock bag. Will return for a new one.
